- Paul Dover lives in Paris and works as an artist. He is visited by Julia Fraser an art buyer and critic who irritates Dover with her opinionated attitude. But Paul's treatment of Julia is not usual for him. Earlier he had received an upsetting visit from his kid sister Ellen. She is married to a very wealthy man who is running for office and who, although he is in love with his wife, will not bear any scandal. Unfortunately, we learn, she is being blackmailed by a man who was her fiancé before she married her husband. She discovered him to be a cad, and she broke off the relationship. But he had saved her love letters to him, and now is demanding two hundred thousand francs from her or else he will publish her letters. She asks Paul to help, and he agrees. The result is that the letters end up packed in a shipment going to the Los Angeles Art Museum. Paul determines to get them, and along the way he ends up on the wrong side of a criminal gang's intentions, and has to pose as being blind. This was RKO's method of introducing Ace, the Wonder Dog, their answer to Rin-Tin-Tin, who becomes Paul's seeing eye dog. Can Paul, with the help of Ace track down the letters, fight off the gang and save his sister's marriage?

Meanwhile, after learning a secret about his father from Thomas Brill, Vaughn is kidnapped and tortured by Lauren and Sark, who are about to track "The Passenger" down themselves while Dixon, Weiss and Marshall race against the clock to find Vaughn before he is killed.

- An elderly cardinal has been taken prisoner by an Eastern European country because the clergyman is a leader of the political opposition. He is being held in a prison where no escape has ever occurred. Briggs recruits an old flame who is also a trapeze artist. She accompanies Briggs and the IMF, who pose as a small circus. The "circus" has set up in a park that is next to the prison. Rollin, posing as a member of the circus, is arrested after stealing the wallet of an audience member. Rollin is taken to the prison and manages to smuggle in a lock-pick that enables him to exit his cell. The IMF operative manages to get to the cardinal to warn him to expect an escape attempt, with the circus providing a distraction. But, as the escape attempt unfolds, the cardinal is gone from his cell -- he has been taken to solitary confinement and will be executed within a day or two.
- The IMF breaks off its attempt to free an elderly cardinal. Now, Briggs & Co. must regroup and Briggs must alter his plans. On top of that, a colonel in the unnamed Eastern European country is becoming suspicious of the IMF's "circus." Briggs manages to use the man's suspicions to the IMF's advantage. Crystal, the trapeze artist recruited by Briggs, performs a dangerous diversion while Briggs and Rollin attempt to free the cardinal.

Dixon and Ivy go through a rough patch after he tells her about kissing Silver, but the real disappointment comes when he finds out he can't go to Australia with her. Adrianna and Navid have a public reconciliation and Adrianna must make the decision of whether to go on a year long tour with Javier. Silver decides to leave the decision of whether Teddy can handle both a relationship and tennis career up to him, who is upset when he finds out that his father tried to bribe Silver to end the relationship. The episode ends with Naomi being taken advantage of by a certain teacher, and realizes the desperation of the situation because she has already falsely accused him of harassment before.
