Funk has strong wrestling bloodlines. His dad, Dory Funk Sr., was a well-known grappler from the 1940s to the 1970s, and his brother, Dory Funk Jr., wrestled from 1963 until the early 90s, and won the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) world heavyweight championship in 1969. Funk, himself, became NWA champion and thus the Funks have the distinction of being the only brothers to win the NWA championship. Funk made his film debut as (what else?) a wrestler in Sylvester Stallone's (a noted wrestling fan) movie Paradise Alley (1978). Funk then did double-duty as a pro wrestler and actor/stunt man (he was prominent in Patrick Swayze's movie, Road House (1989)). Not technically a great wrestler, Funk was more known for his brawling tactics, and had some great feuds during his career with "Handsome" Harley Race, "Nature Boy" Ric Flair, "The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes and others. After maintaining a low profile in wrestling, Funk resurfaced in the 90s in the new Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW) series and the World Wrestling Federation (WWF), this time in his new persona as "Chainsaw Charlie".- Hersha Parady was born on 25 May 1945, and raised in Ohio, USA. She later became an actress, appearing on television and in the theatre.
Years later, living in California, Hersha often looked after a free-spirited dog she called Lightning, who roamed the streets of Hollywood. That led to Hersha's befriending actress Katherine "Scottie" MacGregor, who looked out for the same dog. MacGregor starred as Harriet Oleson in the television series Little House on the Prairie.
When Hersha starred in a play as Anne Hathaway, the wife of William Shakespeare, MacGregor and her Little House co-star Richard Bull came to see it. They were thoroughly impressed with Hersha's performance, and recommended her to the Little House casting director, as a possible new cast member.
This recommendation led to Hersha being cast as a guest star (playing Michael Landon's sister-in-law) in one episode during the third season, before being cast as a regular player in the role of Merlin Olsen's wife, Alice Garvey, for Seasons 4 - 6.
Ironically, Hersha's own personal favourite Little House episode is "May We Make Them Proud" - the one in which Alice Garvey and her friends' infant son burn to death in the school for the blind. Hersha relished acting in scenes involving real, controlled fire under the supervision of the Los Angeles Fire Department. On her unforgettable death scene, Hersha remarked: "At least I went out with a bang and not a whimper."
Formerly married to Oscar-winning producer John Peverall, with whom she had a son named Jonathan, Hersha moved to Florida and died in 2023. - Producer

In 1969, Algérie Actualités published a booklet, its adaptation of a short story by Ahmed Chenouf Boudi: "Commando En Mission" on the Algerian War, a comic strip on the theme of the war of national liberation. That same year, he invented the character of Si Fliou in the form of strips in the newspaper El Moudjahid. In the cinema he began as a production assistant in the film "Z" by Costa Gavras in 1967. Then he designed numerous posters for Algerian films including "Hassan Terro" by Mohamed Lakhdar Hamina (1968), "The Way" of the deceased Mohamed Slim Riad (1968), "Hell at Ten Years" (collective 1969), "Patrouille À L'Est" by the late Amar Laskri (1971), "Le Mariage De Moussa" by Tayeb Mefti (1982), "Harvest d'Acier" by Ghaouti Benddedouche (1983), "Chant D'Automne" by Meziane Yala (1983), "Les Portes Du Silence" by the late Amar Laskri (1987), "Faits Divers" (Collectif 2019), etc.
Encouraged by Noureddine Nait Mazi, the director of the daily, under the pseudonym Rafik Ramzi, in 1976 he adapted into a comic strip Youcef Khader's spy novel "SM 15 Halte Au Plan Terror", published in 1970 by the National Society of 'Edition and Diffusion which released the album in 1976. In 1981, he released "À L'Aube D'Un Jour De Novembre" followed in 1999 "La Fabuleuse Histoire De Raïs Hamidou", an illustrated album, on a text by late storyteller Belkacem Babaci. In 2003, on the occasion of the Year of Algeria in France, "Si Fliou" was published as an album by the Entreprise Nationale des Arts Graphiques (ENAG). In 2010, he illustrated "Djeha" by the satirical poet Abderrahmane Lounès and in 2011 "Impasse De La Régence" by Youcef Tounsi published by Casbah editions.
