Born in Sudan, Siddig was raised in Britain and attended the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts (LAMDA) where he studied acting and theater. Immediately after leaving LAMDA, Sid did a season of theater in Manchester, in addition to performing in various shows in pubs and small theaters. Later, Siddig worked as a director in a small theater in London.
"I was in a situation where I pretty much had a theater company at my disposal and a theater at my disposal and could do anything I liked...as long as I did it for nothing. Which is sort of a step before charging and not being able to do what you like. I was at a point where I could have just gone on and become a director in London, as a trainee at the Royal Shakespeare Company or something like that, and ended up being a bona fide director. It was quite a big struggle because for a year and a half, which is the time I spent directing immediately after I left acting school, you just have no money so you're just living on welfare and you're trying to make it. . ."
During this time of financial struggle Sid was offered the part of Emir Feisal in A Dangerous Man: Lawrence After Arabia (1992), the sequel to Lawrence of Arabia (1962). Sid co-starred with Ralph Fiennes who played T. E. Lawrence.
Siddig's performance in A Dangerous Man: Lawrence After Arabia (1992) brought him to the attention of Rick Berman who was creating the new series Star Trek: Deep Space Nine (1993). Originally brought in to audition for the role of Captain Benjamin Sisko, Berman decided Siddig was too young for the role and cast him as Dr. Julian Bashir instead. The part had to be slightly rewritten for Siddig as the original "bible" had called for an Hispanic male to play the part, named Julian Amoros, although Berman reports that no other actors were considered for the role.
During his time on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine (1993), Siddig and co-star Nana Visitor had a son (Django) and were married in 1997. They divorced in 2001, although they remain friends.
After a successful seven-year run on television, Siddig began working in feature films, quickly accumulating roles in movies such as Vertical Limit (2000), Reign of Fire (2002), Kingdom of Heaven (2005), and the critically acclaimed Syriana (2005). Early 2005 saw Siddig return to the stage opposite Kim Cattrall in the West End production of "Whose Life Is It Anyway?" Following a controversial guest turn on MI-5 (2002), the title role in Hannibal (2006) in 2006 and a recurring role on 24 (2001) in 2007 brought Siddig back to the small screen.- Nicholas - or Nick - Woodeson, born in 1949 in Port Sudan, Sudan to British parents - spent his early childhood in Haifa, Israel, in line with his parents' diplomatic postings. He recalls that his first taste of thespian glory was reciting A.A. Milne poems to family friends at the age of six. Nick's strong affinity and regard for the Middle East has meant that, in the 2000s, he has written several heartfelt letters to English broadsheet newspapers expressing his views on the Middle East crisis and American involvement therein. Sent back to England to complete a boarding school education, he went on to Sussex University where his interest in drama re-surfaced and he engaged in competitive productions for the British National Student Drama Festival. As a consequence he was noticed by, and obtained his first acting job for, the theatrical repertory company at Crewe in Cheshire, England, ruefully noting in hindsight that he was usually a prompter or assistant stage manager, rather than a player. However, he soon obtained a scholarship to the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts, and later joined the prestigious Royal Shakespeare Company, in 1981, remaining with them intermittently until 1990. He has consequently appeared in other media including films like 'Topsy-Turvy' and television dramas like 'Midsomer Murders' in 1998, where he played one of several murder suspects, along with actress Angela Pleasence. A year later, Angela and Nick played a mother and son in the stage play 'The Late Middle Classes', notwithstanding the fact that there was only an eight year age gap between them. From 2007, he reached a global audience as Julius Caesar's clever and loyal "body slave" Posca, in the BBC/HBO TV blockbuster, 'Rome'.

- Delia Lindsay is a versatile and talented English actress who has appeared in numerous British films and television dramas from 1970 up to the present day.
In 1970, she played "Alice" in Scars of Dracula (1970), a Gothic horror picture made by Hammer Films at Elstree Studios. Her character is romantically involved with "Paul" (Christopher Matthews), the brother of the film's hero, much to the displeasure of her father, the town's burgomaster (Bob Todd). Her scenes provide some much-needed comic relief in what is probably the bloodiest and most violent entry in Hammer's "Dracula" series. In 1978, she married Jeremy Sinden, a talented English character actor. Their first child, a daughter called Kezia, was born on 18th December 1979. A second daughter, Harriet, was born on 1st July 1984. However, in 1996, her husband died of lung cancer at the tragically young age of forty-five.
Whilst bringing up her young family, Delia continued with her acting career. Around this time, she made guest appearances in a couple of fondly-remembered television sitcoms. She played "Norma" in The Restaurant (1981) episode in the first series of A Fine Romance (1981). This episode was first broadcast on 15th November 1981. A Fine Romance (1981) was written by Bob Larbey and starred the real-life husband and wife team of Michael Williams and Judi Dench. Delia also appeared as "Mrs. Highsmith" in the fifth episode, Des. Det. Res. (1984), of the first series of Fresh Fields (1984), a sitcom starring Julia McKenzie and Anton Rodgers. The episode was first broadcast on 4th April 1984.
In 1999, Delia played the part of "Lady Basildon" in An Ideal Husband (1999). This was, in my opinion, the best of film director Oliver Parker's Oscar Wilde adaptations. In his notes for the original play, Oscar Wilde describes Delia's character, the Countess of Basildon, as a woman "of exquisite fragility", whose "affectation of manner has a delicate charm".
In 2002, Delia played "Mrs. Arrowpoint" in a very good BBC adaptation of Daniel Deronda (2002), the George Eliot novel first published in 1876. This mini-series was made by the same team of producer Louis Marks and writer Andrew Davies, who had made the 1994 television dramatization of Middlemarch (1994). The cast of Middlemarch (1994) had included Delia's late husband, Jeremy Sinden, in the role of "Captain Lydgate". In Daniel Deronda (2002), Delia's character, "Mrs. Arrowpoint", employs "Herr Klesmer" (Allan Corduner) as a music tutor for her daughter, "Catherine Arrowpoint" (Anna Steel). As George Eliot observed in the novel, "to have a first-rate musician in your house is a privilege of wealth, and Catherine's talent demanded every advantage".
In 2010, Delia played "Barbara" in the topical BBC drama, On Expenses (2010). This was a television film about the political scandal of members of the British parliament making fraudulent expenses claims. - Actor
