Sylvia Chang was born on 22 July 1953 in Chiayi, Taiwan. She is an actress and writer, known for Love Education (2017), 20:30:40 (2004) and Passion (1986).- After studying Chinese and jazz dance from elementary school, at 17 years old, she won a national contest to find new talents, organized by Taiwanese TV, and shortly after she made several appearances on TV, and also got cast in a bit part in the Taiwanese film "Taipei Story" (1985), directed by Edward Yang. In 1987 she signed a contract with Hong Kong film studio D & B to replace Malaysian action star Michelle Yeoh and from then she starred in more than 20 martial arts films.
