Teresa Mosteller
- Actress
Teresa Mosteller is an actress, writer, playwright and amateur director. She is a past & present (2022) student of the Meisner Method of acting with Playhouse Northwest in the Seattle area. Teresa performs with a secular choral group and has sung in a church choir since 2005.
Teresa has had a varied career. Her first regular job was at a twin cinema in downtown Denver. She was also a cashier & meat-cutter at Arby's; a jewelry-store secretary; and an accounting clerk at a high-end department store. She worked at a law firm that put her through college in the late 1970s-early 1980s.
Although a marketing major, acting inhabited every one of Teresa's college electives and she earned some professional acting credits along the way, most notably playing the title role in a stage production of Snow White at the Denver Children's Museum. She also acted in several productions at Bonfils Theatre, a reputable semi-professional live theatre in Denver. During this time she appeared in the television-movie "The Disappearance of Aimee" starring Faye Dunaway and Bette Davis.
Upon graduation, Teresa moved to Seattle and became a licensed insurance agent, beginning a 17-year stint with Mutual of Omaha. Teresa is also a certified Human Resources Professional. She worked in Human Resources for 14 years, seven of them as an HR supervisor/manager.
While working in the corporate world, Teresa stepped away from acting to raise a family. Motherhood has been her most rewarding role. Her adult children share her deep enthusiasm for music and movies of all genres. They also share her love of the stage and the arts in many forms, including (but not limited to) culinary and martial arts. They encouraged and assisted her in publishing two books of her scattered poems and other writings, and they've acted in several of her plays.
