A few weeks ago, it was announced that Megan Fox and director S.K. Dale, who previously worked together on the thriller Till Death (about a woman who has to deal with a pair of killers while handcuffed to the corpse of her husband), are teaming up again on the sci-fi thriller Subservience, which was scheduled to begin filming at the Bulgarian Nu Boyana Studio on January 7th. With cameras now rolling, Deadline has revealed that Fox is being joined in the cast by Madeline Zima (Californication), Matilda Firth (Hullraisers), Andrew Whipp (Outlander), and newcomer Jude Greenstein, as well as the previously announced Michele Morrone (365 Days).
Will Honley (Escape Room: Tournament of Champions) and April Maguire (Lost Girls) wrote the screenplay for Subservience, crafting a story about a struggling father who purchases a domestic Sim to help care for his house and family until she gains awareness and turns deadly.

“Megan and Michele are perfect for this timely and provocative thriller! As Megan’s 3rd film with us, this high concept and topical subject makes for a cautionary tale of AI and the frighteningly real dangers that could rise. With the addition of the talented Michele to add an extra layer of spice as our leading man, we are excited to see leading lady Megan and S.

Megan Fox is playing a terrifying AI robot in a brand new movie. The actor will star alongside "365 Days" star Michele Morrone in a new movie "Subservience" from Millenium Media. Fox confirmed the news, first repoted in Deadline, with a cheeky Instagram post. She quoted the article's description of the film - "The film is about a struggling father (Morrone) who purchases a domestic Sim (Fox) to help care for his house and family until she gains awareness and turns deadly" - and wrote underneath, "A documentary."
The movie reunites Fox with director S.K. Dale, who directed Fox in 2021's "Till Death." The screenplay is by Will Honley and April Maguire. "This film will show a side of Megan that we have never seen before. The cast that we are assembling will elevate this emotionally-charged story and I cannot wait to show you all what we have in store,...

Last year Megan Fox and director S.K. Dale teamed up for the thriller Till Death, about a woman who has to deal with a pair of killers while handcuffed to the corpse of her husband. Millennium Media is reuniting with Till Death director S.K. Dale on sci-fi thriller Subservience and will commence worldwide sales at Cannes later this month.
After working on the Megan Fox horror thriller Dale has proved himself to be highly adept in the contained thriller and genre space and the company anticipates an autumn start on principal photography.
Subservience is based on a screenplay by Will Honley (Escape Room: Tournament Of Champions) and April Maguire (Lost Girls) and centres on a struggling father who purchases a domestic Sim – an android assistant – to help care for his house and family.

It doesn’t seem like that long ago that Megan Fox was starring in the Transformers franchise, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Jennifer’s Body. Now she’s starring in Machine Gun Kelly videos and Till Death, a low-budget variation on Gerald’s Game. Hoping her taste in scripts was better than her taste in music I pressed play…
Emma (Megan Fox) is married to Mark who’s gone from prosecutor to sleazy defence attorney. How sleazy? He freely admits he’s happier making big money keeping scum like Bobby Ray, the man who mugged and nearly killed Emma out of jail than he was working hard to put them away. Innocent, guilty, who cares as long as they pay. Needless to say, it’s not the happiest of marriages.

Questlove’s Summer of Soul is up to 753 theaters as the doc about the 1969 ‘Black Woodstock’ concert in Harlem that debuted in two locations last weekend crossed into arthouse, commercial and urban venues.
Not that it was easy, said Frank Rodriguez, SVP General Sales Manager, Searchlight Pictures. “Exhibitors are eager to get back on track,” he said. “We had to push very hard in a crowded marketplace” that includes The Boss Baby: Family Business, The Forever Purge and week two of the first true post-Covid blockbuster, F9.
Rodriguez cited notable performances in Brooklyn, San Francisco and Georgetown in D.C. after what was basically an extended promo in NY and LA. Deadline is hearing from industry estimates that Thursday night came in north of $78K.

“I’m gonna cut myself free of you even if it’s the last thing I do.” The line, uttered by Emma (Megan Fox) to her husband the morning after celebrating their 10th anniversary at their remote lake house, is the kind of on-the-nose dialogue that sums up the bluntness of S.K. Dale’s wintry-set thriller, “Till Death.”
Emma, you must know, is not (just) speaking figuratively. She did really feel trapped, in a way, in her loveless marriage to dashing if increasingly menacing lawyer Mark (Eoin Macken). A line like “I thought you were gonna wear the red dress” sent chills down her spine; a request to wear a blindfold lest a romantic surprise be spoiled filled her with her terror; this was a woman who was clamoring for an escape route. It’s why she’d taken to sleeping with one of her husband’s colleagues behind his back,...

For its first act, Till Death tries keeping things muted. S.K. Dale directs his cast to deliver lines as if they’re somewhere between whispering and talking; cinematographer Jamie Cairney shoots with the brand of ruby-tinged glossiness that the last decade has really leaned into as a visual shorthand for wealth and privilege; dialogue from screenwriter Jason Carvey funnels us bits of exposition.
Emma (Megan Fox) was collateral damage in a botched robbery 10 years ago. She married Mark (Eoin Macken), a lawyer involved in the case, just over a year later, which went south. She turned to having an affair with one of Mark’s colleagues, Tom (Aml Ameen), but now she’s decided to cut it off. She even turns down plans to see Tom the next day, and when he asks why, she breathes while facing away from him: “‘Cause it’s my anniversary.”
This sort of dialogue continues,...

In the 1954 film, Johnny Guitar, Joan Crawford’s Vienna says to the titular Johnny, “A man can lie, steal, even kill. But as long as he hangs on to his pride, he’s still a man. All a woman has to do is slip once and she’s a tramp.” In Till Death, Megan Fox’s Emma slips, having an affair with another man. The film’s horrors lie in what follows. Men cheat and it’s treated with a shoulder shrug. If women cheat, it’s the Salem Witch Trials all over again. Those double standards are damaging. In the case of Emma, it’s hypocritical because, no matter how many times her husband came home with lipstick on his shirt collars, he never would have been met with the kind of twisted game he puts her through. She simply washes the lipstick off. S.K. Dale’s feature debut...

After launching a film career with the Transformers franchise nearly 15 years ago, Megan Fox has struggled to find a niche in Hollywood outside of her most critically successful role in Karyn Kusama’s cult horror hit Jennifer’s Body. The actress is now returning to the genre in another bloody way in with S.K. Dale’s directorial debut Till Death. Ahead of a release in theaters and on-demand on July 2 courtesy of Screen Media Films, the first trailer has landed.

Emma’s only chance of survival is to fight off the hired killers sent to kill her as part of her husband’s revenge plot.

"She's still in the house." Screen Media has released the first official trailer for an intense survival horror thriller titled Till Death, marking the feature directorial debut of S.K. Dale. Arriving this July in just a few more weeks. Megan Fox has been making quite a comeback in all kinds of off-kilter films recently, including Rogue and Midnight in the Switchgrass. The premise for this is just as crazy: After a romantic evening in their secluded lake house, Emma awakens handcuffed to her dead husband. Trapped and isolated in the dead of winter, she must fight off hired killers to escape her husband's twisted plan. Starring Megan Fox as Emma, with Callan Mulvey, Eoin Macken, and Jack Roth. This reminds me of the Stephen King story Gerald's Game, with a much darker side in the two guys there to take her out. Doesn't look half bad, I'd say. Here's the...
