Following yesterday's first glimpse of Giancarlo Esposito in-costume on the set of Captain America: Brave New World, we have a new photo giving us a look at Rosa Salazar (Alita: Battle Angel) as Rachel Leighton, aka Diamondback.
A previous rumor claimed that the supervillain group known as the Serpent Society had actually been completely cut from the movie during reshoots. This may have been accurate at the time, but this latest round of additional photography has revealed that at least one member of the team will still feature.
As you can see, Salazar is now sporting the character's signature hot pink hair after previously appearing with blonde locks in a photo shared online last year.
A New look at Rosa Salazar in hot pink hair for her character Diamondback in #CaptainAmerica4 has been shared with us by @AtlantaFilming
What do you think of the hair? Are you excited to see this character in Cap 4? pic.

Yesterday evening, the news broke that Disney has resurrected the "Marvel Television" banner for future live-action TV shows on Disney+. The hope is that this will allow that division to focus on streaming, while Marvel Studios concentrates on the movies.
It's all part of a plan to get back to quality over quantity after a rocky few years. However, there's a big difference between this Marvel Television and the one which launched in 2010 and was ultimately shuttered in 2019 when Kevin Feige took charge.
The news got us thinking about the original Marvel Television's stint and the many mistakes made under the man in charge, Jeph Loeb. In this feature, we take a look back at their biggest blunders and what Marvel Studios can learn from them.

Marvel Studios is heating up its investigation into who’s been leaking “Captain America: Brave New World” spoilers, issuing a subpoena for Instagram to reveal the identity of the person behind the account responsible. Instagram account CanWeGotSomeToast uploaded footage from “Captain America: Brave New World” last week, a move that caught the attention of Marvel.
According to documents shared by the Torrent Freak news site, Marvel’s vice-president of Global Security & Content Protection has subpoenaed Instagram to reveal the identity of the person who runs the account.
Matthew Slatoff has requested the person’s identity to “identify an alleged infringer (or infringers) using the handle @canwegetsometoast who published a copyrighted image from an upcoming Marvel Studios motion picture, ‘Captain America: Brave New World,’ without authorization.”

Captain America: Brave New World is less than a year away from hitting theaters and, if we're really lucky, a trailer might be attached to Deadpool & Wolverine later this summer.
In the meantime, a new still from the movie has started doing the rounds on social media - seemingly from Empire - which features Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie), director Julius Onah, and Xosha Roquemore's mystery character.
Cap is suited up and appears to be in a war room. As for Roquemore, it's previously been reported that she's playing Leila Taylor. Introduced in 1971 and created by Stan Lee and John Romita Sr., she was Sam Wilson's girlfriend but faded into obscurity in the early 2000s.
On the page, Leila was a journalist who fought for equal rights and eventually worked for The Daily Bugle. This version looks like she might work for the CIA or be a Secret Service agent,...

‘Captain America: Brave New World’ is one of the most anticipated MCU projects. Like plenty of other movies & shows, the development was put back on track following the conclusion of the SAG-AFTRA strike. Everybody expected that the movie would be at least somewhat delayed. Initially ‘Captain America 4’ switched dates with ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ until being delayed for almost a year, now bound to be released on February 15, 2025.
Little is known about the overall plot of the movie and its villains, but most of what we know came from leaks, surprisingly McDonalds’ leaks.
Several months ago, McDonald’s Happy Meal toy accidentally revealed that the big villain in the upcoming release will be Red Hulk. For fans acquainted with Harrison Ford’s character, General Thunderbolt Ross, this news might not come as a shock. His evolution into Red Hulk seemed inevitable.

Thanks to last year's strikes, Captain America: Brave New World is one of many 2024 movies now not heading our way until next year.
A few pieces of merchandise have started showing up here and there, though most of it will have been pushed back to coincide with The Falcon and The Winter Soldier sequel's new release date.
Still, it seems nothing will mess up McDonald's Happy Meal schedule as Captain America: Brave New World toys are starting to show up in restaurants across the U.S. As well as a closer look at Red Hulk, we see Diamondback sporting a comic-accurate costume and using the same diamond tips as the version seen on the page.
With rumours swirling that the Serpent Society has been cut from the movie, this may be all we see of her.
The bigger reveal below is new promo art of Anthony Mackie's Sam Wilson suited up as Captain America.

Spoilers and leaks are common in superhero media, usually from unofficial sources, and easy to brush off. However, it’s rare to have the next MCU villain spoiled by a McDonald’s toy.
That’s exactly what happened with a Happy Meal promotion, giving us a sneak peek at Diamondback for the upcoming ‘Captain America: Brave New World.’ The packaging names the character “Cascavel,” Portuguese for Rattlesnake, hinting at their MCU version. The toy looks like the Marvel Comics villain, with the same hair color and a black and purple outfit.

Marvel has been making a lot of mistakes these past few years; mistakes that have significantly impacted their image in the world of superheroes. However, much like Tony Stark, the one thing the franchise has always been good at is learning from the past.
Recently, there were speculations that Captain America: Brave New World was making a very big mistake with its story; something that also happened in 2007 with Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man 3.
Captain America: Brave New World
It would seem, however, that the Captain America film is learning from the faults of Marvel’s past. Recent reports have suggested that the film will begin reshoots in some time which will cut out a huge chunk of the film. While many might be alarmed by these changes, it may be exactly what the film needs.

It has been more than four years since Chris Evans’ portrayal of Steve Rogers, the original Captain America, passed on his iconic shield to his friend and teammate Sam Wilson. The conclusion of ‘Avengers: Endgame’ provided Steve Rogers with a happy ending and paved the way for Anthony Mackie’s Falcon to step into the role of the next Captain America. However, in 2021’s ‘The Falcon and the Winter Soldier,’ we witnessed Sam initially rejecting the shield. Eventually, he decided to embrace the mantle of Steve Rogers’ successor, especially when it became evident that the US government wouldn’t allow the shield to remain in a museum.
Shortly after the conclusion of ‘The Falcon and the Winter Soldier,’ reports surfaced about the development of the fourth Captain America movie. Denzel Washington has long since secured legendary status as one of the greatest actors to ever grace the big screen, and even at 65 years old he remains one of the most consistent names in the business that rarely lends his talents to a bad movie. He’s also one of the very few stars in the brand-focused era we live in that can sell almost any project to audiences based on his presence alone.
While the two-time Academy Award winner is no stranger to the action genre, he’s never been interested in the franchise business, with The Equalizer 2 marking the first and so far only sequel of his career. Meanwhile, he’s also avoided comic book movies entirely with the exception of 2013’s largely forgotten 2 Guns.
