Tatiana Sorokko
Tatiana Sorokko was born in Arzamas-16 (now Sarov), Russia, on December
26, 1971. Her parents were nuclear scientists. She was attending the
Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology when, in 1989 she was
discovered by Marilyn Gauthier, founder of Marilyn Models Agency in
Paris, Sorokko moved to Paris in 1990 and embarked on a modeling
carrier. She quickly became one of the supermodels of the 1990s, with
engagements all over the globe. She walked the runways in Paris, New
York, Milan and London. She appeared on numerous pages and covers of
such magazines as Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, Cosmopolitan, Elle, and many
others. Sorokko was also featured in many advertising campaigns for
such prestigious brands as Christian Dior and Versace, among others.
She has also appeared in various commercials, including the one
opposite Brad Pitt for Acura Integra. In 1994 she played herself in
Robert Altman' s movie Pret-a-Porter. Tatiana Sorokko is married to
Serge Sorokko, an American entrepreneur and art dealer who owns the
Serge Sorokko Gallery in San Francisco.
