- Graduated from NIDA, Sydney, in 2008.
- Mother, with husband Dave Lawson, of one daughter (b. May 2023).
- Started stage career while still studying at the National Institute of Dramatic Art, and performed in stage productions of Macbeth and Gallipoli.
- Her maternal grandmother was a West End performer . She later emigrated to Christchurch, New Zealand, where Snook's mother was born. Her great-aunt was an English actress. In 1993, after seeing her sister Rebecca was "flying" on the stage in a production of Peter Pan and falling in love with the "magic of the theater", Snook decided to become an actress too.
- Attended St John's Grammar School in Belair and won a drama scholarship to Scotch College in Torrens Park. In 2008, she graduated from the National Institute of Dramatic Art in Sydney with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Acting).
- Took acting lessons, appeared in school plays, and briefly worked as a children's entertainer named "The Lavender Fairy".
