Oscar winner Jordan Peele is the mastermind behind the smash hit horror films Get Out, Us and Nope. If you enjoyed those films, you'll be glad to know that Peele isn't done exploring the horror genre. He has a new horror flick slated to come out in the fall of next year, and it's called Him. More on this film below.
Previously titled Goat, Him is produced by Jordan Peele and his Monkeypaw Productions. Ian Cooper, Win Rosenfeld, and Jamal Watson also produce the film under the Monkeypaw Productions banner. David Kern and Monkeypaw’s Kate Oh are signed on as executive producers, while American television director and screenwriter Justin Tipping is helming the movie from a screenplay that was written by Zack Akers and Skip Bronkie.
Tipping is best known for writing and directing the adventure film Kicks, and helming episodes of the TV shows The Chi, Twenties, Flatbush Misdemeanors and Joe vs. Carole.

Jordan Peele is undoubtedly one of the most talented and important filmmakers of today. Although he was initially known as a comedian because of his Key & Peele series, he has since evolved into a complex and versatile filmmaker who is able to blend horror with strong social commentary. Get Out, Us, and Nope are the movies he directed, but he also produced several other major hits and also worked on the short-lived revival of The Twilight Zone. Now, while we do know that Peele himself is working on a new movie, while we’re waiting for more updates on that movie, we have more information about his next project, a movie he is producing!
The movie we are talking about is going to be directed by Justin Tipping, who has some experience with movies and television, with his most important works being Kicks (2016), Flatbush Misdemeanors (2021), and Joe vs. Carole...

When Julia Fox debuted her single, “Down the Drain,” at Charli Xcx’s Boiler Room DJ set last February, there were essentially two reactions: 1) wait, Julia Fox is making music now?, and 2) of course Julia Fox is making music now.
Not only is Julia Fox making music now (and not only does it kind of slay), but she also just dropped the video for “Down the Drain,” exclusively debuting on Rolling Stone. Directed by cowriter and producer Ben Draghi, the video is a showcase for all of Fox’s personae,...

The goat is him. That sounds a little strange, but that’s what has happened with the title of the upcoming Jordan Peele-produced horror movie. Once titled Goat (as in “greatest of all time”), the movie has since been retitled Him. It, too, has been given an official release date of September 19th, 2025.
Him was announced earlier this year, a few months before the most recent Jordan Peele production, Monkey Man, hit theaters. With that movie doing well with critics, Universal and Monkeypaw Productions are putting even more stock in him.
Him, which has been described as “an anti-sports horror movie”, was actually part of the 2022 Black List, the annual survey which reveals the best unproduced screenplays of any given year. Then known as Goat, Him has the following plot, as per The Black List: “A promising first-round draft pick is invited to train at the private compound of...

Jordan Peele’s Monkeypaw Productions is producing the psychological horror Goat, with Marlon Wayans in the lead.
This isn’t an unveiling of Jordan Peele’s next directorial outing for Universal, but here’s a story about an intriguing new project that will be produced under the filmmaker’s Monkeypaw banner.
Goat is set to star Marlon Wayans (who you can see pictured in the TV show Marlon) while Justin Tipping will direct. Tipping co-wrote and directed Kicks, another film (like last year’s Air) focused on the mythical status attached to basketball shoes.
In their upcoming project, the focus will be on a mythical athlete rather than their shoes, as ‘the film centres on an up-and-coming young athlete who is invited to train with a team’s retiring star, who will be played by Wayans.’

Two long years after Netflix first dropped its “Tiger King” docuseries, the first scripted stab at retelling the wild story of warring big cat enthusiasts Joe Exotic and Carole Baskin has landed, as was inevitable. “Joe vs. Carole,” premiering March 3 on Peacock, stars John Cameron Mitchell and Kate McKinnon as Joe and Carole as they vow to take the other down. At this point — months after a Netflix follow-up to “Tiger King,” podcasts such as the one this series is based on (Wondery’s “Over My Dead Body”), and countless memes and late-night jokes later — anything purporting to shed more light on this particular saga has a high bar to clear in order to be anything less than repetitive. In this respect, “Joe vs. Carole,” despite some decent performances and effective directing from Justin Tipping, rarely justifies its existence.
As the title suggests, Etan Frankel’s “Joe vs. Carole” focuses...

Peacock’s “Joe Exotic” series had to get a bit exotic in its casting process to fit the real-life troupe of characters chronicled in Netflix’s “Tiger King” docuseries. Fortunately, with “Saturday Night Live” standout Kate McKinnon on board from Day 1 as Carole Baskin, the scripted streaming series was off to a very good start.
Then they landed Dennis Quaid, and, well, just ask your mom what she thinks about that choice to play Rick Kirkham. Better yet, ask Rick Kirkham, Joe “Exotic” Schreibvogel’s reality TV show producer, what he thinks. However, Quaid had to step away from the role due to a scheduling conflict and was replaced with William Fichtner.

As I pressed play on the first episode of “Run the World,” I wasn’t intending to mainline the entire eight-episode season in one greedy gulp. But as a blessedly rare warm New York City breeze floated through my open window, Leigh Davenport’s lush new series about four friends having a vivid, game-changing Harlem summer proved too good and fitting to resist.
“Run the World,” premiering May 16 on Starz, is immediately self-aware of its place in the TV canon, particularly as a witty dramedy about four thirty-something women falling in and out of love and lust in New York. In the pilot, frustrated writer Ella (Andrea Bordeaux) fondly refers to her on and off boyfriend Anderson (Nick Sagar) as her “Big,” as in the infamous “Mr. Big” who drove Sarah Jessica Parker’s Carrie Bradshaw so wild throughout “Sex and the City.” But on “Run the World,” Ella’s...

The “Joe Exotic” series starring Kate McKinnon and John Cameron Mitchell will now air only on Peacock instead of on the streamer, NBC, and USA Network as originally planned.
The show received the multi-platform series order last year. According to an individual with knowledge of the production, the move comes as the multi-platform order was made prior to Susan Rovner assuming her role as chairman of entertainment content for NBCUniversal Television and Streaming. Now that Rovner and her team have seen more of the scripts, they decided the streamer was the best fit. It also comes as NBCU has reorganized its television business to place a clear emphasis on the company’s future streaming plans while deemphasizing the importance of certain cable networks in the NBCU portfolio in order to cut costs.

NBCUniversal has changed its plans for the upcoming “Joe Exotic” limited series, making the Kate McKinnon-led drama exclusive to Peacock.

The premium network made a straight-to-series order of the 10-episode half-hour comedy from the “High Fidelity” and “That’s My Bus!” comedians and writers last October. The show, which hails from both Showtime and Avalon, has already begun production in New York City.
“Flatbush Misdemeanors,” starring Iso and Perlman, centers on “a raw comedy of city life following Dan and Kevin, who play characters struggling to thrive in their new surroundings in Flatbush, Brooklyn,” looking to “climb out of their heads and connect with others,” per the logline. Dodson will play the recurring role of Zayna, one of Dan’s outspoken high school students.

B. Scott will host the official after-show for Lena Waithe’s “Twenties,” BET’s hit series steeped in queer Black narratives.
“Twenties the After Show” will see the host touch on key themes from each episode in conversation with a lineup of guests. The after-show will begin production in the coming months and air as a companion to the series’ second season.
