John Patrick Walsh
- Actor
John is an experienced VoiceOver, Television and Stage talent. After
starting out doing VoiceOver work in Los Angeles, John studied Improv
with Bill Applebaum and during the weekly classes, discovered a love of
performing comedy with his classmates. This lead John to join Ethos
Theatre Company where he starred in Chris Berube's "Giving Thanks" as
the angel Gabriel in a contemporary Thanksgiving story. In addition,
John was cast as the Player King in Ethos' production of Hamlet, a role
that he loved playing. John also performed at L.A.'s Stella Adler
Theater in the world premiere of "A Credit to his Race: The Ernest Just
Story" in the role of Professor Frank Lilly. While continuing to work
on stage and keeping busy in the recording booth, John appeared on
ABC's "General Hospital" as the Police Chaplain. Other soaps followed
but it was GH that gave him his first network exposure. Before earning
his SAG card, John played actor George Reeves in a popular episode of
"North Mission Road". John and his family have returned to the East
Coast and reside in Connecticut. John has appeared on New York
television shows including NBC's "30 Rock" and CBS' "As the World
Turns". John is a New Yorker at heart: he graduated from Fordham
University in the Bronx, started a business in SoHo, got engaged at
Lincoln Center, was married on Park Avenue and became a dad at Lenox
Hill Hospital not once but twice. He is busy coaching his sons'
baseball and basketball teams as volunteering as a BookPal for the SAG
Foundation. John looks forward to staying active in television,
commercials, VoiceOver work and returning to the stage. John would like
to get another opportunity to be the Player King again. "What a thrill
and a privilege to be one of the thousands of actors who can count
themselves among the army of Player Kings and Queens....Hamlet's actor
friends."
