‘Baywatch’ alumni Pamela Anderson has joined Liam Neeson in the forthcoming reboot of ‘Naked Gun’.
The movie is based on the ‘Naked Gun’ movie franchise which starred Leslie Nielsen as Lt. Frank Drebin. The original franchise was created by the creators of Paramount’s ‘Airplane!’, namely Jim Abrahams, David Zucker, and Jerry Zucker. The Naked Gun trilogy was released during the early 1990s and was a big hit at the domestic box office, grossing over $216 million. Similar to Airplane!, the Naked Gun film series was famous for its outrageous parody, ridiculous set-ups, and on-screen sight gags.

Keanu Reeves has joined the voice cast for the upcoming video game franchise adaptation at Paramount Pictures, ‘Sonic the Hedgehog 3.
Reeves is said to be voicing the character of Shadow.
Paramount recently showcased footage at CinemaCon featuring Jim Carrey’s Dr. Robotnik in the upcoming movie. The footage portrayed Dr. Robotnik as depressed and out of shape due to the events that took place in the 2nd movie. However, he managed to regain his confidence by creating Shadow the Hedgehog, which was first introduced in the video game ‘Sonic Adventure 2’ in 2001. Shadow is a character that acts as the opposite of Sonic – he has a dark and edgy personality while sharing many of the hero’s powers.
Also in news – Pierce Brosnan set for Prince Naseem boxing biopic ‘Giant’
Jeff Fowler directed all three Sonic movies, with Ben Schwartz voicing Sonic and James Marsden playing Tom Wachowski, Sonic’s human friend.

Pierce Brosnan has been cast in the upcoming biopic on boxing British-Yemeni pugilist Prince Naseem “Naz” Hamed, ‘Giant’.
Amir El-Masry will also star in the sporting drama that tells the story of Prince Naseem’s rags-to-riches ascent to a World Championship under the tutelage of his Irish-born boxing trainer Brendan Ingle. El-Masry will play Naz, and Brosnan is set to portray Ingle.
The movie will tell the true story of Hamed’s humble beginnings on the tough working-class streets of Sheffield and his discovery by Ingle, himself a steel industry worker turned boxing trainer. Their unlikely partnership along with Naz’ unorthodox style, cocky persona and sheer dominance in the ring, propelled them to the top of boxing’s elite and unprecedented levels of global superstardom, all in the face of the rampant Islamophobia and racism of 80’s and 90’s Britain.

Giant will star Amir El-Masry and Pierce Brosnan. What’s more, filming is about to begin in Leeds, as part of an all-uk shoot.
Shortly to start filming in the UK is a new movie by the name of Giant. Unrelated to the James Dean-headlined classic, this is actually the biopic of boxer Prince Naseem Hamed (also known as Naz). It’s going to follow his story from his early days through to his ascent to becoming a world champion boxer.
Interesting personnel have been attracted to the feature, too.
Amir El-Masry is going to be playing Hamed in the movie, and alongside him will be Pierce Brosnan. Brosnan is going to take on the role of Brendan Ingle, the trailer who helped coach Hamed to his title.
Rowan Athale, who’s been working on the likes of The Rise and Gangs Of London, has written the script and will be directing as well.

Pierce Brosnan and Amir El-Masry will star in AGC’s Naseem Hamed boxing drama Giant, which starts shooting later this month in the UK after the producers relocated from Malta to benefit from the country’s recently announced Independent Film Tax Credit.
Zygi Kamasa’s True Brit has acquired UK distribution rights to the project which Rowan Athale, whose credits include Gangs Of London, will direct from his screenplay.
Strike-induced production delays meant the producers had to reconfigure the cast after Paddy Considine and Mena Massoud were originally announced as the leads.

Exclusive: Boiling Point actor Ray Panthaki and producer Daniel Khalili have acquired rights to journalist Nick Pitt’s sports biography The Paddy & The Prince as they continue work on their previously announced biopic of former boxer Naseem Hamed.
The duo acquired the book through their new film company Le Bateau Lavoir. The biography charts the relationship between Hamed and his mentor, Brendan Ingle, in intimate detail from 1981 when a seven-year-old Hamed walked into Ingles’s gym, located in an old church hall in Sheffield. The book recounts their story, tracking their turbulent progress from that day on.
Panthaki and Khalili’s currently untitled film project will be scripted by veteran screenwriter Martin Stellman (Quadrophenia), with production scheduled to begin early next year. Hamed is said to have a buy-in on the film.
“Having Naz on board the project was one thing, but it became abundantly clear during the writing process...
