Our good friend Lee Perkins just dropped us a line with this official one-sheet for the upcoming horror film “Live Evil” from producers Mark Terry and Robert Sotto by director Jay Woelfel (Trancers 6, Ghost Lake) and starring Tim Thomerson (Trancers), Mark Hengst, Asa Wallander, Ken Foree (Halloween, Dawn of the Dead) and Lee Perkins (Carnies, Dahmer vs. Gacy). Synopsis: A hunter dressed in black. This cowboy-hat-wearing samurai-sword-wielding Priest is on a quest for blood. Vampire blood. We reported earlier that Jay Woelfel's Live Evil had won an theatrical release of 300 screens starting September 18th, as well as a DVD release in mid-November. There's been an update to this story, in that we recently learned that the film is also getting a premiere at the Sci-Fi Center in Las Vegas.
Live Evil tells the story of vampires having trouble surviving in a world where the blood supply has become polluted by drugs and STDs. "I am basically a part time resident of Las Vegas, especially during football season," producer Mark Terry says. "One of my goals was to have a screening here because if there was one city in the world that would 'get' this movie it would be Vegas."
Live Evil also stars Lee Perkins (KatieBird*Certifiable Crazy Person), Chuck Williams (Bubba Ho-tep), filmmakers Jeff Burr (Leatherface: Texas Chainsaw Massacre III) and Sean Cain (Silent Night,...

After watching "Live Evil" I was fortunate enough to get in touch with actor Lee Perkins who plays Officer Hicks in the film. The film focuses on vampires in search of pure blood throughout the state of California with vampires fighting other mutant vampires for the last of the uncontaminated blood. Also, involved in shooting with Lee were Ken Foree and Tim Thomerson. The film is currently in negotiations for North American distribution and this campy flick, which is quickly paced, will offer a little something for almost every horror fan. Plus, there are vampire babies! Have a read of this in-depth interview with prolific actor and horror enthusiast Lee Perkins inside.
(Michael Allen) How did you get into filmmaking?
(Lee Perkins) "My mom said I started when I was very young as a carrot in a first grade play. So I guess you could say it was 'planted in me'.

Filmmaker Sean Cain got in touch with Fango to provide us with a few exclusive production pics from the final day of shooting on his recently wrapped undead flick Silent Night, Zombie Night. You can see ’em below, along with the new key art (by Jason Beam) and a rather gory teaser trailer for the indie feature, which we last reported on here; he also shared the word on his next feature.
Cain, who’s currently editing Silent Night, Zombie Night (which stars Vernon Wells, Jack Forcinito and Nadine Stenovith as a trio terrorized by the ghouls), will be present at this weekend’s La Weekend of Horrors (sharing a table with Live Evil producer Mark Terry), and tells us that the film’s trailer “will run right before the 8 p.m. Saturday screening of director Jay Woelfel’s Live Evil, as well as looping at our table.

Producer Mark Terry dropped us a line with a status report and the new poster (seen below) for his vampire movie Live Evil. He also let us know that a new trailer (which you can see at the bottom of this page) was posted recently at the film’s MySpace page.
Terry recently returned from selling Live Evil, directed by Jay (Ghost Lake) Woelfel and starring genre vet Tim Thomerson as a sword-wielding, vampire-hunting priest, at the American Film Market. “Selling these kinds of movies feels like hawking a used car at times,” he tells Fango. “As a producer, I put all my focus on what I know genre fans want to see while still trying to tell an interesting story. That way, when buyers ask, ‘Do you have names, gore, action, stunts, was it shot on film, nudity, and is it a subgenre?’ I can say, ‘Yes, it has all those elements.
