Kayli Ann Coburn
- Actress
Born in Sacramento, California, queer, disabled, and genderfluid actor Kayli Ann Coburn knew they wanted to act when they visited New York City for the first time with their grandparents at the age of 18 and saw the 2016 production of "Wicked" on Broadway.
After returning to California, Kayli immediately enrolled at Studio 24, an acting studio founded by Cody Dorkin in Folsom, California. Kayli spent a few years studying with teachers Cody Dorkin, Marc Ashbourne, and Gabriela Lopez while acting in productions such as the horror film Carrion (2020) and the short film "R.I.C.E" for the Sacramento International Film Festival.
Kayli then branched into music videos, first in Karmacoda: Unglued (2019) directed by Hirokawa Hayashida for the band Karmacoda in San Francisco before driving to LA to play the titular character in Jessie Paege's music video "Phantom" directed by Bailey Petracek. Young and in love with the experience of being on a set, they again drove from Sacramento to LA and slept in their car overnight in East LA for a background role in Jeremy Zucker: not ur friend (2020) directed by Haley Bowman.
Following a brief experience of homelessness during the 2020 Pandemic, Kayli refused to give up on their original dream of acting and starred alongside Joshua Malekos in Gryffin and Audrey Mika's music video "Safe With Me" (2021) directed by Neil Chan and Roboto.
Spontaneously moving to New Jersey after 5 years of longing to move to the East Coast, Kayli modeled in a Winter Refresh Commercial for EOS directed by Jo Bennett before taking a break from acting to tend to their mental and physical health.
In 2022, Kayli rejoined the entertainment and storytelling industry, studying acting technique at Stella Adler Studio of Acting under professors Maureen Megibow and Atticus Orsborn. They have also begun venturing into writing, directing, and producing, beginning work on a novel and a short film. Kayli can be found on Backstage Casting as well as most social media under the username @kaylianncoburn and will soon have a website as well.
