Douglas Reiser was born was born in Jersey City on November 22, 1972.
He discovered acting in his junior year in high-school, performing in
three musicals. Doug went on to attend New York University in 1990
where he majored in drama and studied at The Lee Strasberg Theatre
Institute, graduating (1994) with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from NYU's
Tisch School of the Arts. Doug began his career in New York City
appearing on television in soaps such as All My Children and Guiding
Light. He also has various voice-over and commercial credits on radio
and television. His film credits include: "Mr. Jealousy", "Three Below
Zero", "Crocodile". He was the lead actor in two short films for the
Midnight Moviemaking Madness Film Festival in New York City, one of
which, titled "Drakes Cake", won best short in 2003. He also co-starred
in a short film titled "Wanted: Soulful Energy Exchange" which has been
well-received in many film festivals around the country. Theatre
credits include: "Loot", "Hurly Burly", "Criminal Genius", "Talk To Me
Like The Rain and Let Me Listen" all produced by his former theater
company called DDR Productions. He is an active member of the Episcopal
Actors Guild in New York City. Doug has recently formed his own
company, High-Reiser Productions, focusing primarily on
film.
