Following the release in March of ‘A Man Called Gannon’ (1968), Simply Media in the UK continue to release more Universal-International westerns, this time of 1940s and ‘50s vintage. The new releases, out on 18 April, are ‘Calamity Jane & Sam Bass’ (1949), ‘Cattle Drive’ (1951) and ‘Black Horse Canyon’ (1954). This trio of films are literally ‘Horse Operas’, with the accent on thoroughbred steeds and their importance and role in the working west. Be they cattle drovers, stock breeders or outlaws, where would any of them be without the horse? The answer, of course, is walking.
I’ll review the DVDs in the order I watched them. First up is ‘Cattle Drive’, a 1951 western directed by Kurt Neumann. Chester Graham Jnr (Dean Stockwell), the spoilt, arrogant son of railroad magnet Chester Graham Snr (Leon Ames), is accidentally left behind when the train he is travelling on makes a water stop.

Good morning!
Ok, so Brooke Candy identifies as a lesbian but this song "I Wanna Fuck Right Now" is very, hmm, "dick" heavy. But she's a rapper/stripper (former stripper?) so maybe it's just about her on-stage persona. At any rate, her butch fluffer is pretty rad. I need one of those.
Good news guys!
Heading to La to tape @theellenshow !!! Can't believe we get to be on Ellen! My mom is seriously excited. We've finally made it in her eyes.

Tune in tomorrow to watch their performance.
R.I.P. Charlie Morgan, who was fighting for her partner to receive her benefits from the National Guard after she passed. She spent her last days working for her family and for us.
Tom Tom magazine has an interview with out drummer Ana Briseño of Magic Mouth.

Last night, fans tuned in to Chelsea’s trip to the Liberty Stadium to take on Swansea in the semi-final of the Capital One Cup. They were hoping to see if the home side could complete an unlikely win over the European Champions by emulating League Two side Bradford in dramatically reaching the final of the competition on February 24th.
Instead, what they got was a fairly unspectacular 0-0 draw of which the main talking point was an off the field incident involving a ball boy.
With the game running into its final 10 minutes and the home side clinging on to their 2-0 aggregate lead, the ball trickled out of play which seemed as though the Swansea ball boy would merely collect and return to the goalkeeper.
Instead, the teenager, who has since been revealed as Charlie Morgan, fell on top of the ball after Hazard ran to pick it up for a speedier redistribution.

The world of football was reeling again tonight after yet another on-pitch scandal broke as Chelsea were unceremoniously dumped out of the League Cup by Welsh wizards Swansea, to set up an unlikely final date with Bradford City. The result was almost completely over-shadowed when Chelsea’s Belgian star Eden Hazard was sent off tonight for kicking a ball boy who lay on top of the ball in a crude attempt to waste time for his side.
At the time, Chelsea were losing, and the ball boy took it upon himself to smother the ball to eat up precious seconds with ten minutes left of the semi-final second leg.
Chelsea’s official Twitter account responded to the moment in incredulous fashion:
“Has football gone mad? Hazard is sent off for kicking the ball under a ball boy attempting to smother the ball rather than return it. #Cfc”

Good morning!
Meshell Ndegeocello spoke with NPR about her Nina Simone tribute album. She says she specifically chose songs Nina wrote herself because she wants people to know Nina's story. If you like Meshell or Nina, you'll love Pour Une Âme Souveraine.
A lesbian that was savagely beaten by her girlfriend's brother on Thanksgiving is saying that it was not a hate crime. Her own family begs to differ, which makes this a complicated case. At any rate, here's hoping Mallory Owens is able to recover and get justice for the terrible violence she endured, no matter the reason.
Yesterday on The Stephanie Miller Show, lesbian host Stephanie Miller said the Salvation Army wasn't anti-gay. Now she's apologizing because, she admits, she didn't do her research.
