Marion Cotillard has been in the business since the age of 18 and, within the more than two decades of churning out more than 50 feature movies, has rarely — if ever — turned in a bad performance no matter which role she inhabits. And now, with Allied set to hit theaters on November 23, the French-born actress is expected to wow us once more.
Allied, which is directed by Robert Zemeckis, stars Cotillard as a French Resistance fighter named Marianne Beausejour and Brad Pitt as an intelligence officer in North Africa named Max Vatan who begin a relationship while behind enemy lines. The two decide to take their romance to London — where they marry — but their love is tested by the pressures of World War II.

I thought it would be funny if I went out to lunch with Don Johnson and, over the course of our lunch, quizzed him about his illustrious career, which has been in something of an upswing the past few years, with meaty roles in movies for Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino, and an appearance in "Cold in July," the Sundance sensation that is out now via IFC Films (in theaters and On Demand).
Sadly, lunch couldn't be accommodated. So instead I met Johnson in the noisy bar of a Manhattan hotel. He was eating berries (or something) and puffing on an electronic cigarette. At one point, his wife brought him cherries, an apology for being late to his actual lunch, which, sadly, he had without me in attendance.
Still, we got to chat about Jim Mickle's "Cold in July," in which he plays Jim Bob, a pig farmer and...

The "Fantastic Four" reboot may be adding yet another villain: Tim Blake Nelson is set to join the cast as the alter ego of Mole Man.
The Hollywood Reporter writes that Nelson -- who played a part in another Marvel film, 2008's "The Incredible Hulk" -- is in final negotiations for the role of Harvey Elder, described by the trade as "an eccentric and socially awkward scientist." Elder eventually becomes the Mole Man, a villain who is "shunned by humanity and leader of a subterranean group of monsters known as the Moloids," per THR.
"Sources say the Mole Man will not appear in this movie but Elder's appearance does set up the character to be the villain in future installments of the franchise," THR added.

In a sign that things might truly have hit rock bottom for Alec Baldwin, his former "30 Rock" co-star, Tracy Morgan, says that he's worried about the actor.
Morgan, who's no stranger to controversy himself, said in an interview with the New York Times that Baldwin's recent troubles -- skirmishes with paparazzi, losing his MSNBC talk show, vowing to retreat from public life then starring in an episode of "Law and Order: Svu" -- have raised some red flags.
"He was concerned about the structure of my life, and now I'm concerned about the structure of his life," Morgan told the Times. "He's getting fired from TV shows. He had about six fights since we left '30 Rock,' you know. I'm worried about him. I mellowed out, my daughter mellowed me out, and I don't get mad at anyone."
The comedian also offered some advice to Baldwin about how he can turn things around.

Ahead of this weekend's Saturday Night Live hosting gig, Lena Dunham sat down with Savannah Guthrie of NBC's Today to talk SNL, Girls, and her trifecta of hobbies: Netflix, dog park, eating. Joking about her SNL fandom, Lena said, "I didn't want to be the person who shows up for the first day of school with all their pencils sharpened, already knowing all the answers." Savannah also mentioned the Girls parody that came to the show when Tina Fey played a new character, Blerta, and Lena called it the best thing that's ever happened to her. "I thought they took such a smart approach. It wasn't nudity-obsessed, it wasn't all about my weight. It was a really intelligent, thoughtful approach to Girls." Watch the full clip above, and check out the SNL trailer with Lena for a glimpse at what's to come this weekend! Front Page Image Source: Getty / Rob Kim...

From the outside looking in, Maggie Gyllenhaal thought she could pick a perfect parent out of a crowd.
“I used to be judgmental of the way other people would parent,” the actress, 34, shares in Scholastic Parent & Child‘s August/September issue.
“I would look at someone talking on a cell phone while her baby was asleep in a stroller and think, ‘How can that mother have her cell phone out?’”
But shortly after the birth of daughter Ramona in 2006, as a new member of the motherhood club, Gyllenhaal found her perceptions on parenting suddenly shifting.
