Earlier this month, an image cinematographer Christian Sebaldt shared on Instagram indicated that Final Destination 6 (which is going by the title Final Destination: Bloodlines) was finally, after years of development and a thirteen-year gap between sequels, heading into production. The next day, producer Craig Perry took to social media to confirm that Final Destination: Bloodlines is indeed filming, the aim being to get this one into theatres in 2025 – in time to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the release of the original film. Now, it’s been revealed that the long anticipated sequel has officially wrapped principal photography. Once again, the announcement came courtesy of Perry. The film stars Brec Bassinger (Stargirl), Teo Briones, Kaitlyn Santa Juana, Richard Harmon, Anna Lore, Owen Patrick Joyner, Max Lloyd-Jones, Rya Kihlstedt, and Tinpo Lee. It also features the return of Tony Todd in his iconic role as William Budworth, who was in the first,...

Welcome back, Clone Club! It's been a little while since our last meeting, but it's once again our time to shine. Every "Orphan Black" fan remembers falling down that sci-fi rabbit hole back throughout the mid-2010s, gawking at the television screen as the series somehow found deeper and more labyrinthine plots to follow with every passing season. As complicated and slightly off the rails as the story could get, those of us who found ourselves on its wavelength ended up among the most passionate members of the fandom. You could commonly find us wandering the street corners and flagging down random passersby, eager to preach about the Good News of Tatiana Maslany and her frankly incredible performance(s) as various clones who couldn't possibly be more different from one another.
Now, perhaps a whole new generation of fans is about to spring up with the release of the spin-off/sequel series,...

In an amusingly meta instance of sci-fi imitating sci-fi, “Orphan Black” is getting a futuristic sequel series before anyone has time enough to miss the original. That’s either a big mistake or more of a good thing in a booming genre that could almost always do with more feminist entries.
Set in the year 2052, “Orphan Black: Echoes” stars executive producer Krysten Ritter as an amnesiac woman named Lucy who we meet unraveling the insidious impacts of a mysterious procedure she doesn’t remember having. In a classic streaming age mess-around, the IP extension comes just seven years after the Canadian cult hit became a household name in made-for-tv cloning.

There will be spoilers for "Star Wars: Tales of the Empire," so beware.
First introduced in the limited "Obi-Wan Kenobi" TV series that debuted in 2002 on Disney+, the Fourth Sister was an early member of the Inquisitorius and helped hunt down Jedi for many years during the Dark Times. Little is known about her past, other than that she was once a Jedi who turned to the dark side and the safety of the Empire after the events of Order 66. A humanoid with greenish skin and head tails, the Fourth Sister remains largely a mystery. Thanks to the new "Star Wars: Tales of the Empire" animated shorts, we have some more details about her and her past -- and also many hints about her future.
The other "villain" that features in these stories is Barriss Offee, the young Mirialan Padawan who framed Ahsoka Tano for murder in "Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

This article contains spoilers for "Star Wars: Tales of the Empire."
The fate of the fallen Jedi Barriss Offee (voiced by Meredith Salenger) has been an enduring mystery after "The Clone Wars" season 5 finale, and the green Mirialan's tumultuous history made her ripe for a continued story in the "Star Wars" universe. Disgruntled by the Jedi Order's involvement in the Clone Wars, the then-padawan bombed the Jedi Temple and framed her bestie Ahsoka Tano (voiced by Ashley Eckstein). Said treachery instigated Ahsoka's departure from the Jedi Order, highlighting the spread of disillusionment within the Order.
As the supervising director of "Clone Wars," Dave Filoni nearly killed off Barriss, but then he cut the scene where she commits a suicide bombing in her Republic jail cell. Considering the lengths Filoni went to keep a secret of "Star Wars Rebels" from the crew, a league of Barriss Truthers saw her as...

A new “Heroes” reboot series is in development from creator Tim Kring, Variety has confirmed.
The reboot, titled “Heroes: Eclipsed,” is set years after the events of the original superhero series, as new evolved humans are discovering their powers. Kring is executive producing “Heroes: Eclipsed” with his manager, Mosaic’s Jordan Cerf. Casting has yet to be announced.

There are two sides to every story, but nothing is ever really black and white, good versus evil, or even Jedi versus Empire.

Lucasfilm has revealed the first teaser trailer for "Star Wars: Tales of the Empire." Though not exactly a season 2, per se, this serves as a follow-up to 2022's acclaimed "Tales of the Jedi." That show was a series of animated shorts that focused on two interwoven tales of Jedi at crucial times in their development, namely Ahsoka Tano and Count Dooku before he fell to the dark side. Similarly, this new series will be focusing on two different figures within the Empire: Morgan Elsbeth and former Jedi Barriss Offee. Check it out for yourself above.

Krysten Ritter has fallen down an all new rabbit hole in the first look at the AMC Networks’ anticipated spinoff, Orphan Black: Echoes.
The network released the minute-and-a-half trailer on Thursday during its panel for The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, and sees a disoriented Lucy (portrayed by Ritter) waking up to an unrecognizable near future. The original series is set in the same clone-filled universe as its critically acclaimed and fan-loved BBC America predecessor, Orphan Black, which starred Tatiana Maslany.
“What’s wrong with me?” Ritter’s Lucy can be seen asking. ”Why don’t I know who I am?”
The series is set to explore the scientific manipulation of human existence and will follow a group of women as they weave their way into each other’s lives while embarking on a journey that will both unravel the mystery of their identity and uncover a story of love and betrayal.

The promo was unveiled during New York Comic Con on Thursday and showcases Ritter as Lucy, a young woman caught up in what we can only describe as a nightmare.

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Superman & Lois‘ Season 2 finale, “Waiting for Superman.” So if you haven’t watched yet, maybe your Bizarro World double can fill you in.] Worlds collided, marriages collapsed and secrets came out all over Smallville this week as we bid goodbye to Superman & Lois for the summer. But before any happy endings could happen, the delightfully rehabilitated Tal-Rho (Adam Rayner) helped a power-drained Clark (Tyler Hoechlin) harness the strength of the sun to vanquish Ally Allston (Rya Kihlstedt) and separate our world from its parasitic Bizarro twin. Meanwhile, the rest of the Kents, John Henry Irons (Wolé Parks), and his now steel-suited daughter Natalie (Tayler Buck) provided their always heroic support from the ground (and air), eventually saving the day and sending a message to the citizens of Earth that the Man of Steel was back and better than ever. Bettina Strauss/The CW Now what? Well, we got some intel...

As Season 2 of the standout superhero saga races to a dramatic close, all hell breaks loose in Smallville. “We kind of went crazy with the spectacle,” Superman & Lois showrunner Todd Helbing excitedly admits of the final two episodes. In Tuesday’s action-packed hour, power-mad cult leader Ally Allston (Rya Kihlstedt) ramps up her plan to fuse the multiple universes at play in the series into one. Having already merged with her Bizarro World self, Ally has also figured out how she can gain even more powers — by draining those of Superman/Clark Kent (Tyler Hoechlin). “That forces everybody else to step up,” Helbing teases. “He literally can’t do anything.” Shane Harvey/The CW Clark’s wife Lois (Elizabeth Tulloch), their twin sons Jonathan and Jordan (Jordan Elsass and Alex Garfin), vigilante John Henry Irons (Wolé Parks) and his daughter Natalie (Tayler Buck) run point on saving the day. Still,...

[Warning: The below contains spoilers for Season 2 Episode 13 of Superman & Lois, “All is Lost.” If you don’t want to be spoiled, go try to build a metallic supersuit and come back when it’s fully operational and fashionable.] Tonight’s episode of Superman & Lois may have been titled “All is Lost,” but even as Clark (Tyler Hoechlin) saw his powers sucked away by the newly merged parasitic villain Ally Alston (Rya Kihlstedt), Smallville gained a new do-gooder. And thank god, because we’re gonna need all hands on deck for what the show has in store for its season finale. After weeks of hinting at her work on an exo-skeleton suit similar to her father John Henry Irons (Wolé Parks), his steely daughter Natalie (Tayler Buck) donned the heavy metal outfit and joined the race to save the day — or at least Clark — during the hour’s fateful showdown with Aly. Showing the kind of high-caliber, unbending...

Last week “Obi-Wan Kenobi,” arguably the most anticipated “Star Wars” series on Disney+ got underway. And honestly, things were a bit wobbly. It didn’t really deliver in the ways that you might have expected, either emotionally or viscerally, and saddling Obi-Wan with a pint-sized ward felt overly familiar after two seasons of “The Mandalorian” (plus his episodes of “The Book of Boba Fett”). But still, with four more episodes to go, things could change and veer in a totally new direction, especially with the second episode’s tease of the return of Darth Vader (Hayden Christensen).
And honestly, the third episode (simply titled “Part III”) was an improvement over last week’s inaugural installments, with more action, more droids and – yes! – more Vader. Read on for our full breakdown of “Part III.”
Major spoilers follow for “Obi-Wan Kenobi’s” third episode. If you haven’t watched yet, turn back now!

Ewan McGregor as Obi-Wan Kenobi
You know Ewan McGregor well. But in case you somehow missed the Prequel Trilogy, McGregor first played the role of Obi-Wan Kenobi in 1999’s The Phantom Menace, reprising the role in Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith. Before Star Wars, he was best known for his character Mark Renton in Danny Boyle’s Trainspotting.
