Starting this particular June weekend of Pride events off with a bang was Friday night’s first annual Critics Choice Association’s Celebration Of LGBTQ+ Cinema & Television, an awards gala that packed the main ballroom of L.A.’s Fairmont Century Plaza Hotel with each table’s settings sporting a rainbow pride flag among other festival decorations. The lively event brought out a host of honorees and starry presenters delivering lots of stirring and heartfelt remarks. Comedian and Actress Sherry Cola hosted the expertly paced presentation.

As a small-screen veteran, Zachary Quinto is no stranger to building a television persona, much like the role in Heroes that made him a household name.
The actor then went on to be a veteran of the hit horror show American Horror Story, appearing in multiple seasons starting as early as 2022, during the show's eleventh season.
Now, the TV titan is trying his hand at a medical drama, which has become its own creature in the television industry.
But if there's one thing the actor is good at, it's coming across as calm and collected, much like his character Spock from the Star Trek films.
Brilliant Minds is on NBC's fall line-up, and here is everything we know about the show so far!
What Is Brilliant Minds about?

The CW is cutting ties with another of its pre-Nexstar original series.
The network announced Wednesday that the forthcoming third season of All American: Homecoming will be its last. The college-set spinoff of All American is set to premiere July 8.
The news comes a few days after The CW renewed All American for a seventh season — albeit for a shorter run (13 episodes) than most of its past seasons.
With the end of Homecoming, All American and the forthcoming fourth (and final) season of Superman & Lois are the only scripted holdovers from The CW’s previous Warner Bros.-CBS regime. (The network canceled WalkerA in May.) Since Nexstar took a controlling interest in the network in late 2022, it has jettisoned most of the scripted series from the earlier days and leaned into a less expensive co-production model for scripted shows as it looks to make The CW profitable for the first time.

It’s official: The CW will not be proceeding with a fourth season of All American: Homecoming. The cast were informed of the decision yesterday. With Walker also canceled and Superman & Lois ending its run with the upcoming fourth season, the just-renewed All American is the only surviving scripted series from the pre-Nexstar CW.
All American and All American: Homecoming executive producer/showrunner Nkechi Okoro Carroll had a strong reaction to the decision.
“I’m devastated to learn that All American: Homecoming will not be moving forward with more episodes and that this new season premiering in July will be our final one,” she said. “However, I am so very grateful to have worked with this incredible cast and crew, led by Geffri Maya, to bring the authentic Hbcu experience to your screens for the last three seasons. Late last month, DC Studios co-ceo James Gunn officially announced members of the creative team he'd assembled for the long-awaited Green Lantern Max series, which will be titled Lanterns.
We'd learn that Emmy Award-winning Lost and Watchmen creator Damon Lindelof will work on the pilot script along with previously reported (but not confirmed) Ozark showrunner Chris Mundy and acclaimed comic book writer Tom King
“Yes, it’s true. The Lanterns Dcu series is putting together a crack team of writers, based on a wonderful pilot script and bible by Chris Mundy, Tom King, and Damon Lindelof,” Gunn captioned his social media posts. “A hearty welcome to Chris and @damonlindelof as they join the DC Studios family.”
We had been told to expect more writers to be announced, and according to Nexus Point News, Justin Britt-Gibson, Breannah Gibson and Vanessa Baden Kelly are on board. The site also reports that production...

The CW has renewed sports drama “All American” for a seventh season. The network has also secured broadcast rights for Season 4 of “The Chosen” and renewed “Penn & Teller: Fool Us” for Season 11.
“All American” is inspired by the life of former NFL linebacker Spencer Paysinger and stars Daniel Ezra as Spencer James, a young football player from Los Angeles. In the currently airing sixth season, Spencer and Jordan (Michael Evans Behling) are juniors at Gau and officially eligible to enter the NFL draft, while a new addition to the coaching staff shifts the team dynamics. Other characters navigate changing relationships, parenthood, legal trouble and grief.
Warner Bros. Television and CBS Studios produce “All American” in association with Berlanti Productions. Executive producers include Nkechi Okoro Carroll, Greg Berlanti, Jameal Turner, Sarah Schechter, Mike Herro and David Strauss.

The CW Network has given a 13-episode Season 7 renewal to its flagship drama series All American to premiere in 2025. Additionally, the network today announced pickups for Season 11 of unscripted magic competition series Penn & Teller: Fool Us and Season 4 of The Chosen.
The All American news is not surprising since, as Deadline reported, the college drama had been in the strongest position of any remaining legacy CW scripted series to continue.
All American, whose Season 6 renewal was stipulated in Nexstar’s deal to acquire the CW, is a top ratings performer, and it also is the most economically feasible to produce for its studio, Warner Bros. TV, as its license fee, believed to be north of $1M per episode, is the highest among all 3 “old CW” dramas that were up for renewal this year.

On a wall in the top corner of Nkechi Okoro Carroll’s office hangs a photo from THR‘s 2018 Women in Entertainment issue. In it, the All American showrunner appears alongside 61 fellow Black women writers who are part of the Black Women Who Brunch group she co-founded with Lena Waithe and Erika L. My Adventures with Superman is one of the most brilliant superhero animated series. Created by Brendan Clougher, Jake Wyatt, and Josie Campbell, the Adult Swim series tells the story of Superman aka Clark Kent as he starts his new job at The Daily Planet, with his roommate Jimmy Olson, and his senior intern at The Daily Planet who is none other than Lois Lane. They quickly become a team and try to bring in big stories so that they can become real reporters while Clark also tries to become the hero he is meant to be. My Adventures with Superman has great action but the brilliant thing about the series is that it isn’t an action series about Superman, it’s a series about a superhero and his relationships as he figures out who he really is. So, if you love the heart, optimism, great story, and fantastic animation...

Emmy-winning “Lost” and “Watchmen” creator Damon Lindelof is joining James Gunn’s DC universe. The acclaimed writer has been added to the team that will bring a “Green Lantern” TV show to life alongside “Ozark” showrunner Chris Mundy and Tom King, Gunn revealed on social media on Saturday.

The Girls on the Bus’ journey has come to the end of the road: Max has cancelled the Melissa Benoist-fronted comedic drama after just one season, TVLine has learned.
“While Max will not be moving forward with a second season of The Girls on the Bus, we are grateful to have partnered with immensely talented Amy Chozick, Julie Plec, Rina Mimoun, as well as the teams at Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros. The CW used to be the ideal network for soapy teen dramas, sci-fi vampires and werewolf series, and DC superhero shows.
Now, it's a disappointing shell of those days.
The Vampire Diaries premiered back in 2009 and led to two additional spinoffs, while DC's Arrow began in 2012 and also began a massive franchise.
The CW used to include soapy dramas or sci-fi series, such as Supernatural, which launched Jared Padalecki's career.
The CW has only four original series left, and Superman & Lois will air its final season in the fall.
All American and All American: Homecoming are all on the bubble, while Walker was canceled. It seems like The CW has changed its' identity, and it's not favorable.
We long to return to those glory days when The CW ruled TV fandoms.

When Gunn & Safran assumed leadership roles as co-chairmen and co-CEOs of DC Studio, they revealed plans for a comprehensive revamp of the old Dceu, unveiling a plethora of projects spanning live-action films, TV series, and animated shows. Among these, ‘Superman’ is currently in production and slated for a 2025 release, while ‘Creature Commandos’ marks the inaugural project under the newly established Dcu label.
However, one project that receives relatively little attention within the Dcu lineup is the forthcoming ‘Booster Gold’ TV Show, centered around the titular hero.
James Gunn recently disclosed that the show is in active development but won’t enter production in the near future. However, industry insider Daniel Richtman now divulges that the show is on the verge of securing a showrunner, and the lead character has already been cast. These developments confirm suspicions stemming from recent social media remarks.

When Gunn & Safran took over DC Studio as co-chairmen and co-CEOs, they announced a complete overhaul of the old Dceu and announced a large number of projects ranging from live-action movies to live-action TV shows and animated series. We know that several projects are currently in production such as ‘Superman’ bound to be released in 2025 and ‘Creature Commandos’ the first project to be released under the newly coined Dcu label.
One project that is rarely talked about when it comes to the Dcu is the upcoming ‘Booster Gold’ TV Show, focusing on the hero of the same name.
Recently, James Gunn revealed that the show is being actively worked on but it’s not going to go into production anytime soon. Now industry insider, Daniel Richtman reveals that the show is getting a showrunner soon, and the titular character has already been cast, something we already suspected based on recent comments made on social media.

It’s not uncommon for shows to lose their spark when they go on for too long, and this is pretty apparent in most CW shows, especially the Arrowverse, which kickstarted with Arrow in 2012. Despite starting on a high note that led to The Flash’s launch, which too was showered with laudation by fans and critics, there wasn’t a constant flow of quality in their latter seasons.
In hindsight, it’s not surprising to see why this was the case, as Marc Guggenheim, one of its creators, recalled they didn’t initially start out with an interconnected universe in mind.

The Arrowverse has always been a place of different possibilities no matter how bizarre they may seem. Each hero had their own standing and story to tell. While some ended on a bittersweet note, others found their footing in one way or another. Each story went down its own path with either major or minor crossovers taking place from time to time.

One year ago, it was announced that the Netflix streaming service had renewed the serial killer thriller series You for a fifth season, which will also be the final one. We know Penn Badgley is coming back for You season 5 as the lead character Joe Goldberg, and it’s probably a good bet that season 4’s Charlotte Ritchie will continue to have a prominent role in this final season. It has previously been announced that Madeline Brewer of The Handmaid’s Tale will have a series regular role in the new batch of episodes, and now Variety has broken the news that Anna Camp of the Pitch Perfect films and Griffin Matthews of The Flight Attendant have also been cast in series regular roles.
Camp will actually be playing two different characters, as she has been cast as both Raegan and Maddie Lockwood, twin sisters-in-law to Joe Goldberg. Here are their descriptions: “Raegan is the cunning,...

Grant Gustin’s The Flash is considered one of the most prominent superhero shows before it ended after 9 seasons in 2023. The Arrowverse show was first announced as a spin-off to Arrow, where Gustin first appeared as Barry Allen.
While Stephen Amell’s Arrow was a significant hit among viewers, the makers were not sure if The Flash would also bear similar results. However, they knew that even if the show failed, they could not afford to lose Gustin, and cleverly planned to pave a way to make him stay in the Arrowverse.

We know that a Booster Gold Max series is in the very early staged of development, but a recent rumor claimed that the project might be quite a bit further along than we realized.
According to the report, filming is scheduled for July, and the lead role has been cast - though there was no mention of which actor supposedly landed the part. Considering it's pretty much been radio silence on the show since it was first announced, this update seemed a little shaky, and DC Studios co-ceo James Gunn has now debunked the rumor.
The Guardians of the Galaxy and The Suicide Squad director was asked if "the rumor that Booster Gold will be recorded on July 8th true? Will it be the next big Dcu series after Peacemaker Season 2 or will it be Amanda Waller's series" on his recent Ma and Pa Kent post, and responded: "Although...

The Dcu is bustling with various projects underway, from the animated ‘Creature Commandos’ to the highly anticipated ‘Superman’ slated for a 2025 release, and the recently updated release date for ‘Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow.’
Among these, the upcoming ‘Booster Gold’ TV show, centered around the titular hero, often flies under the radar.
A recent production listing indicated that ‘Booster Gold’ was set to begin filming on July 8th. James Gunn and Peter Safran were listed as producers, and John Papsidera as casting director. However, this raised eyebrows considering this year was earmarked for ‘Superman,’ ‘Waller,’ and ‘Peacemaker’ season 2. James Gunn himself addressed the speculation on his Threads account, confirming that ‘Booster Gold’ is indeed in development but production is not imminent.
It’s logical to assume that if production were truly imminent, we’d already be inundated with leaks and rumors about casting, costumes, and the overall plot of the show.

Greg Berlanti’s romantic comedy-drama Fly Me to the Moon is set for release in the summer of 2024 as one of the year’s most anticipated rom-coms. Greg Berlanti developed the superhero drama series Arrow, which started a new era for DC television. The series was not only extremely popular but also spawned several spin-offs, leading to the birth of the Arrowverse. However, the series wasn’t Berlanti’s first foray into the world of DC Comics adaptations.
Greg Berlanti developed Arrow after a bitter experience with Green Lantern.
Berlanti first took a crack at a DC Comics property as a writer for the 2011 film Green Lantern. However, Berlanti was fired from the critically panned film before finding success with Arrow. Despite not being connected to the larger Arrowverse, ‘Superman & Lois’ is easily the best CW superhero show in terms of quality writing. The show did have its ups and downs, especially last year.
After Nexstar acquired CW and the network was bound to be restructured, ‘Superman & Lois’ survived the onslaught during which many shows were canceled. This led to some of the main cast being let go, fewer writers, and the episode count was slashed compared to previous seasons. Now after several months of filming the last season of ‘Superman & Lois’ has wrapped filming, ready for the Fall 2024 release date.
Now a few months before the show is about to air, The CW’s President of Entertainment Brad Schwartz has nothing but words of praise for the final season of the popular superhero show. Even though it’s not part of the larger Arrowverse, ‘Superman & Lois’ stands out as the CW’s top superhero show, boasting high-quality writing. While it faced challenges, especially last year, the series managed to survive Nexstar’s acquisition of CW, which led to restructuring and numerous cancellations across the network.
This resulted in some main cast members being released, fewer writers onboard, and a reduced episode count compared to past seasons. Now, after several months of filming, production on the final season of ‘Superman & Lois’ has concluded, gearing up for its Fall 2024 release.
Just ahead of its anticipated airing, Brad Schwartz, The CW’s President of Entertainment, is full of praise for the upcoming final season of the beloved superhero series. In an interview with TVLine, he highlighted that this season stands alone, offering a self-contained storyline that can be enjoyed even without prior knowledge of the show’s past seasons.

Exclusive: Michael Cassidy (Fatal Attraction) is set for a recurring role on the second season of NBC’s Found.
The series, which hails from All American‘s Nkechi Okoro Carroll, follows public relations specialist Gabi Mosely (Shanola Hampton) and her crisis management team dedicated to finding missing persons, especially those often overlooked by the system. Gabi was once one of those forgotten ones, and is still hiding a chilling secret of her own – she has found her kidnapper, Sir, (Mark-Paul Gosselaar) and uses his twisted expertise to help solve their cases. In any given year, more than 600,000 people are reported missing in the U.S. More than half that number are people of color that the country seems to forget about.
Cassidy plays a grief counselor with controversial ties to Gabi’s past, who shows up to help in more ways than one.

Welcome to My Favorite Scene! In this series, IndieWire speaks to actors behind a few of our favorite television performances about their personal-best onscreen moment and how it came together.
Editor’s note: The following interview contains spoilers for Netflix’s “The Fall of the House of Usher.”
Much like her character in Netflix’s “The Fall of the House of Usher,” Carla Gugino is an actor who feels like she’s everywhere.
From her film work in “Gerald’s Game,” “Spy Kids,” “Watchmen,” and more, to TV roles dating back to “Saved by the Bell” through “Entourage” and as recent as “The Girls on the Bus” on Max (I had to spare a few moments of our interview to bring up Greg Berlanti’s “Political Animals”), Gugino feels as powerful, versatile, and ubiquitous as Verna, the shape-shifting devil puppeteering the eponymous fall.

When Gunn & Safran assumed leadership roles as co-chairmen and co-CEOs of DC Studio, they unveiled plans for a comprehensive revamp of the old Dceu, introducing a multitude of projects spanning live-action films, television series, and animated shows.
While several projects are currently in production, including the highly anticipated ‘Superman’ slated for a 2025 release and ‘Creature Commandos,’ the inaugural project under the newly established Dcu label, one project that has received relatively little attention is the upcoming ‘Booster Gold’ TV Show, centered around the titular hero. However, it appears that this will soon change, as the show has received a significant production update.
As per the Production List, the show is slated to commence production on July 8, 2024, just a few weeks from now. This suggests that DC Studio has likely secured its Booster Gold. Apart from this detail, the production listing is rather limited, which is typical for projects of similar magnitude.

It seems however that this won’t remain the case for long as the show received a massive production update.
According to the Production List, the show is expected to enter production on July 8, 2024, which is only a few weeks away. Based on that information we can assume that DC Studio has found its Booster Gold.

The alternate reality "Captain Luthor" really being John Henry Irons was a huge twist in Superman & Lois' first season. The character, played by Wolé Parks, has had a recurring presence in the series ever since and donned an impressive suit of armour on several occasions.
He's even earned himself the "Man of Steel" moniker, but a newly revealed photo from Superman & Lois' series finale seemingly confirms John will finally suit up as Steel.
As you'll see in the photo below, graffiti depicts Irons in his trademark armour, albeit with a red cape and Superman's iconic "S" shield on his chest. While this could be little more than an Easter Egg, season 4 may see him finally take on that iconic "Steel" moniker as another of Metropolis' protectors.
