They eventually get together and things are looking up for him, his dreams seem to have all come true. Don't want to spoil the ending for anyone, but the story - which is dotted through with a number of original songs, many of them really good - sees our hero singing the emotional words "....If tomorrow I'm forgotten, she loved me anyway...." Definitely worth watching - if it's still in existence - unfortunately Hollywood released a totally unrelated film with the exact same title - making finding anything related to this TV Movie difficult to impossible.
