  • Several scenes featuring frequent detailed fights as well as bloodless scenes of gun use and hand to hand fighting.
  • Multiple people are poisoned and are shown to have blood dripping out of their nose.
  • 4 people are destroyed in a burning building and die offscreen.
  • Most deaths are offscreen and little blood but definitely brutal and can show aftermath of death.
  • A woman puts a snake down a woman's shirt.

  • A woman is bit by a snake.
  • A fight breaks out during a musical number.

Profanity

  • "You can kiss my ass" is shouted very loudly during Lucy Gray's song.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • All the deaths are quite intense.
  • A few jump scares, but overall it is not scary, just intense.
  • Multiple people are hung throughout the film, and one screams ands struggles before dying which can be emotional for some viewers.

Violence & Gore

  • A rabid man goes after someone with foam in the mouth. He is hit with a drone and gets scared and falls down from the ramp he was on, and died on the impact.
  • A woman fights for her life as she attacked from multiple sides. She is stabbed with a pitch fork twice before being thrown off of the platform she was on before being attacked. Scene is not bloody but very intense.
  • Multiple people, including a very young girl, are swarmed and killed by snakes in the arena.
  • A man chases two people out of the arena, however he is beaten to death offscreen in self defense.
  • Snow attempted to shoot Lucy gray, it's not seen whether he successfully kill her or not.
  • One of the tributes is brutally beaten (offscreen) he is later shown almost dead hanging by his arms from a stone structure.
  • One of Snow's classmates has her throat slit (no blood and partially off screen as the camera focuses on Lucy Gray and Snow having a conversation in the foreground) by her own tribute she's mentoring after taunting her with a knife. Peacekeepers show up, and it is later revealed that she got executed by the Peacekeepers This is quite shocking for some who have not read the book.

  • A man dies on camera from drinking an addictive drug laced with poison.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Screaming teenagers are pursued by fantastical snakes which swarm over and bite them.
  • Snow is scary at the end of the film as he attempts to kill Lucy Gray.
  • The arena explosion scene is very loud & sudden, but does not feature anything graphic.
  • A young girl is devoured by highly venomous snakes. She has Down Syndrome, which could make this scene even more upsetting for viewers.
